a . What is the OMTES?
  The Odisha Model Tribal Educational Society (OMTES) is a registered society incepted in March 2000, supported by ST & SC Development Department. Presently it has setup eleven residential schools and managing nineteen educational complexes for Tribal education.
   
b. Can you tell me what the society does?
  OMTES aims to provide quality education to Tribal children in remote areas of Odisha
   
c. How the society runs?
  The OMTES is run by the guidelines provided by the high level committee constituting of 12 member governing body constituted under the chairmanship of Secretary, ST & SC Development Department.
   
d. Who are the members of the Society?
  Secretary, ST & SC Development Department is the Chairman of the Society, Director, ST & SC Development Department is the Member Secretary and the members also include two Eminent Educationist and Tribal Representatives.
   
e. How the schools are managed at the district level?
  A school level management committee headed by the Collector of the respective districts, members including two educationist of the area looks after the overall development of the schools. Here the collector is the chairman and concerned Principal of ERMS is the Member Secretary.
   
f. I am a Tribal, what is the benefit the society has for me?
  You benefit, when your child qualifies entrance of the school and receives free qualitative education. The society provides for improving the quality of tribal by promoting educational schemes for tribal community and improves the quality of life of tribal by Ashram Schools, Hostels for Tribal Boys Educational complexes, Post- Matric Scholarships and Book Bank Schemes, etc.
