To promote educational standard among ST students, EMRS, Bhawanipur was set up in the year 2000. The school in located at aesthetic atmosphere earmarked to provide good educational facilities to the students. It is an English Medium School (from Class VI to XII Science/Commerce) affiliated to CBSE New Delhi under ST&SC Development Department Govt. of Odisha i.e,. There are ample opportunities for the students where they are provided with contemporary modernized education. Students are imparted lesson through (K.Yantra) smart class room. There is well furnished computer lab, facilities like English language lab is also available for students.

A team of well-experienced teachers wedded to duty are working assiduously to update the learners. OMTES (Odisha Model Tribal Education Society) which is directly supervising the work of all EMRS is providing all constructive support to make it an ideal institution. The boarders are provided with various amenities. Such as there is no fee for admission, they are supplied with uniforms, study materials, hygienic food, and salubrious campus for staying within campus. There is also sufficient arrangement of co-curricular activities like infotainment.
